The gimmick is that historical rain averages are wack and the last ten years have shown how unreliable a rain harvesting system would be (yet to be investigated by myself). Yet, we know that we will consume water and flush it towards the sewer system and if large portions of this can be cleaned (as it isn’t that dirty) and diverted to the landscape instead… we can grow our fruit and veggies and wash them too!
So much to still research and plan, but at least the meeting was motivational.

Now it is safe to say the plans for the front house have been years in the making, the presence of a small human addition to the team has created a slow acceleration in the plans. We recently achieved a milestone by submitting “preliminary” plans to a structural engineering firm for them to quote a proposal of services. The proposal now received and the number is completely acceptable. So we are off to the races? By this coming Monday we hope to submit final Architectural plans and pay the down payment.
